Kica
Toy set for understanding structures

Kica is a toy set designed for children aged 4-6 to learn about structures through playing. Keywords: Hands-On, Modular, Educational, Creative

Modular for play
Each Kica set includes two main types of components: bars and joints. There are two kinds of bars—flat bars for connecting parts on the same surface, and round bars for linking parts across different surfaces. The joints come in distinct colors to indicate their function: red for rotating joints, blue and yellow for fixed joints (90° and 120°, respectively), and green for sliding joints. Together, these modular pieces encourage children to experiment, build, and explore structural concepts through hands-on play.
To help children better understand the basics of structures, four maps were created as a starting point. The first three introduce simple, common structures that can be built using the Kica modules. The fourth map encourages open-ended creativity, inviting children to apply what they’ve learned and showcase their own unique constructions.

Learn from life and learn from play
Designed for children aged 4–6, this is a stage where learning happens best through play and physical interaction. The set helps children explore and understand everyday mechanical structures, building their ability to comprehend, apply, and create.

Inspired by umbrellas, a familiar day-to-day object but with complex mechanics, Kica simplifies these structures into three basic types, making them easy for young learners to grasp, replicate, and experiment with.
